IA Pablo Picasso Challenge

I decided to post this even tho I didn't meet the deadline on Inspiration Avenue's Picasso Challenge.  The original photo is such a fabulous image...the credit goes to the photographer not myself.  It was great fun playing with colors and filters to see what I could come up with from this great black and white photo.

IA So Romantic

Fresh flowers, surrounded by beautiful colors, lovely lace, a gorgeous dress,
soft music and someone very special to share a magical moment with.
So romantic...

IA Tropical

I had been using mostly digital images for the collage look since I started my blog.  Then I decided to add my own drawings and now I have added colored pencil to the mix.  Tropical Thomas showed up very quickly in my initial drawing.  But once I picked up the colored pencils I got lost in the layers of color.  I used many many layers of color to achieve each color.  He does look quite pleased with the results doesn't he!  :)

IA Roald Dahl Challenge

credit: art freebies

After a bit of research I found this portion of a poem by Roald Dahl that I found amusing...especially after I found this old post card image!  Aren't these ladies delightful!

IA Spring

Spring...the hopeful season...sunshine, blue sky, fresh breezes, kites,
children playing, lilacs, ducklings, butterflies, tulips, daffodils, bees,
lambs, green grass, dandelions...
This image was a bit of a new adventure for me as I did more 'painting'
with brushes in PSE 8. Starting with the line drawing I painted by adding
bits and pieces of photos and then filling in by brushing on layers of color
in the remaining areas.  I am especially pleased with the way the little
girls dress turned out using a cut from a chintz image.  :)

IA Furry Challenge

...and here we have a furry chocolate heart!
